Kalina Vajskop

My Story

As a partner at Hackenberg, Werth & Vajskop, Kalina strives to have her practice
assist clients through what can be some of the most stressful and emotional times of
their lives: the pendency of a family court case. Through divorces, dissolutions, and
child custody cases, she views it as her job to approach the case and facts in a logical
way, understanding that it can be difficult for clients to view their own personal
circumstances without involving their emotions. It is Kalina’s role to bridge the gap
between the client’s personal experience and the court’s removed interpretation of the
laws and facts, and she works with clients to understand that process as the case
progresses, because, unlike her, she knows her clients don’t deal with these cases and
courts every day.

While Kalina is happy to assist her clients through the trying issues of family law,
she also enjoys practicing in probate court by filing adoptions. Adoptions are some of
the happiest days in court for everyone involved, and Kalina works to ensure that the
process to get there is as smooth as possible.

Family law cases often require attorneys to participate in different roles, and
Kalina also fulfills such positions as court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for minor
children and can act as a court-appointed or private mediator. Through her experience
in these roles, Kalina has come to appreciate the value they add in the family law
process of allowing parties to reach creative solutions that work best for everyone in
their family, which is something courts don’t always have the option to do.

In addition to her practice before the courts for family law cases, Kalina also
provides services in the areas of estate planning, prenuptial and antenuptial
agreements, and other contract review. In law school, she specialized in the area of
intellectual property, specifically focusing on trademarks and copyrights, which are
areas she is always happy to discuss and assist her clients with.

Kalina is not only a small-business owner in but also a resident of Findlay, Ohio.
She resides in Hancock County with her husband and two young daughters. If she ever
has free time, Kalina enjoys reading, crocheting, and having movie nights with her
family.
